The Sierra Chapter, founded in 1988, is based in Reno and has more than 70 active members from Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Truckee Meadows. 

The chapter offers educational luncheons, a yearly Training Conference and Cornerstone Awards Luncheon as well as many other unique opportunities for members such as our Mentor Program. Click on the activities below for more information on upcoming educational events.

Pilot. Sleeper. Flag. When seasoned fundraising professionals hear these words, they don't always bring to mind an airplane, nap time or a symbolic piece of cloth blowing in the wind. In the fundraising arena, these and other words have specific meanings not used in the everyday world. Jun 15 - Welcome to the 2016 Cohort of Inclusion and Philanthropy Program Fellows
In our first year, 31 fellows in the Inclusion and Philanthropy Program accessed the AFP network and educational resources. They participated in specialized access and equity training, and they discussed tools and methods to plan their own inclusion projects, including measuring the impact of those projects. ... more >
